Location and Transportation

We're located up in the mountains, 30-minute drive from the Pokhara valley. Here is our parking location listed in Google Maps as Superview Private Parking. Note that you'll have to take steps from here to get to our lobby/reception and rooms. Of course, we'll help you with the luggage.

Taxi

Taxi is the most popular means of getting to our lodge. Taxis charge around 1200 rupees to come up from the city and around 1500 rupees from the Pokhara Airport. You can either find a taxi yourself, or have us arrange it.

Cable Car

Cable Car / Gondola is another means of getting up here to Sarangkot from Pokhara. The cable runs through the forest, up the hill and has scenic views of the lake and the mountain on the way. The base station is perched at the base of the Sarangkot on the south side (see Google Maps here). The Sarangkot landing is just 600 meters away from our hotel (see Google Maps here), which is very much recommended if you don't have a luggage. Note that we don't have a cab for pick-up from the cable car station.

Cable car prices are: $8 for one way and $12 for two way per person. SAARC country citizens and Nepali have special discount. Details available on their website. Note that they open before sunrise and close around sunset time.

Local Bus

Local Bus is the cheapest but rather uncomfortable (as it oftentimes gets too crammed) way to getting up here. The bus departs from Pokhara Baglung Buspark and has a station up here, 1 km below our lodge by this place. The fare is about 75 rupees per person and the times are as such:

Departures from Pokhara: 9:00AM, 11:30AM, 1:30PM, 3:30PM, 5:30PM.
Departures from Sarangkot: 8:15AM, 9:45AM, 12:00PM, 2:00PM, and 4:00PM.

If you're taking the bus, you should expect delays, as often happens but the ride itself is only 30 minutes.
